Professor Kong Siu Cheung is the Professor of IT in Education, is the Director of Centre for Learning, Teaching and Technology of The Education University of Hong Kong. Prof. Kong has produced over 245 academic publications in the areas of e-Learning and digital competency. He is at present serving as the Editor-in-Chief of the international journal Research and Practice in Technology Enhanced Learning (RPTEL) and Journal of Computers in Education (JCE). Prof. Kong was in the presidential roles for the Asia-Pacific Society for Computers in Education (APSCE) for six years from 2012 to 2017. He is the Convener of Computational Thinking Education in Primary and Secondary Schools International Research Network (IRN) under World Educational Research Association (WERA) since May 2019. Prof. Kong is the principal investigator of an eight-year project on computational thinking and coding education in Hong Kong from 2016 to 2024.
